There is a popular saying that he who gives water gives life. On the bases of this statement and the situation of New Makoko CDA that lacks portable water, Segun Gbayi a sport philanthroptist and a man filled with human affection decided to donate a well ringed bolehole for the community.

On November 7, 2020, the WATER BOREHOLE PROJECT donated by Hon. Segun Gbayi to the residents of New Makoko CDA was commissioned by Hon. (Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale, the Executive Chairman Yaba LCDA and His Royal Majesty, OBA Owolabi Adeyemi Adeshina Adeniyi (Maforunyomi 1) ONISABE OF IGBOBI-SABE, Yaba, Lagos.

This borehole is located at Olaide Street, Makoko and the initiative is aimed at providing portable water for the residents.
The people of the community, express their unending gratitude to Hon Segun Gbayi for this kind gesture and also spent prayers to him.
